eVisits
eVisits – Convenient, secure online consultations
Baylor Family Medicine is making healthcare easier with “eVisits,” a unique service that allows patients to consult with physicians online rather than coming in for an office visit.
eVisits are available to all established patients and are designed for use with non-urgent health issues. They’re quick, convenient and completely confidential.
All patient questions are responded to by the end of the next business day. And it all takes place over a safe, secure electronic communication system that is HIPAA and industry compliant, ensuring the privacy of your health information. A small fee is charged for the online consultation.
How eVisits Work
- There is a $25 charge per eVisit, which can be paid online with a credit card.
- The physician may ask you to provide additional information to help address your issue. There is no charge for those additional communications. (Note: You may request a specific physician to help with your eVisit. However, if that provider isn’t available you will receive a response from the physician on duty.)
- If the physician determines an office visit is necessary, you will not be charged for the eVisit.
- Your eVisit becomes part of your permanent medical record.

A Baylor Family Medicine physician will respond to your question by the end of the next business day. You will receive an email notifying you when the response is available on Baylor Family Medicine’s secure system. Submit your question using the electronic form provided. To participate in an eVisit, complete the evisit registration form and payment information at eVisits.
