Yellow Fever Vaccine Shortage

There is a production shortage of Yellow Fever vaccine especially the single unit dose.

Baylor Travel Medicine is now stocking the Yellow Fever Vaccine in the 5 dose vial presentation. The multi-dose vial must be used within one hour of reconstitution. We will be scheduling Yellow Fever Vaccine clinics of 5 persons each to accommodate our clients. Please understand that persons eligible for yellow fever vaccine may be asked to return for an additional appointment depending on vaccine inventories and dosages.

In our efforts to provide quality customer service, we will continue to pursue additional outlets to bolster our supplies. Although the shortage is beyond our control, we are truly sorry for this hopefully temporary situation and any inconvenience it may cause. Please make your travel plans as early as possible.

New Technology May Cause Delays

We began implementing a state-of-the-art electronic medical record system in early March that will allow us to provide the best care for you and your family. Like construction on the Houston freeways, short-term delays are expected to turn in to long-term gains as we strive to be the premiere choice to service your primary health needs.
